Ogun students hail Governor Abiodun for reviving PMB Estate
Students in Ogun State, under the aegis of National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), have praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for reviving the construction of the President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB) Estate, Kobape Road, Abeokuta, which was abandoned by the previous administration.
NAOSS, in a statement signed by its National President, Olubodun Olalekan, and General Secretary, Adesanya Peter Ifedayo, commended the governor for initiating and completing various housing schemes aimed at bridging the housing deficit in Ogun State.
The statement noted that the continuation of work at the PMB Estate demonstrates the Abiodun administration’s commitment to completing projects that promote socioeconomic development and the well-being of the people.
The estate, inaugurated in 2016 but abandoned, has been revived with the construction of over 100 smart duplexes, changing Abeokuta’s landscape. NAOSS praised the state government’s efforts, saying it will attract individuals who want to live, work, and play in Ogun State.
The association also lauded the GRA Regeneration Scheme and other housing projects, saying they will transform the state into the best place to reside.
NAOSS commended the Ogun State Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, for his leadership in actualizing the housing vision of the Abiodun administration.
The statement added that the governor’s housing policy has created thousands of direct and indirect jobs for residents and artisans, addressing housing needs and boosting the state’s economy.
